  1. Gangarama Temple.

Gangaramaya was founded in the 19th century by the Hikkaduwa Sri Sumangala Maha Thero. This is one of the most beautiful Buddhist temples in Colombo. The architecture of the temple is a blend of Sri Lankan, Chinese, Thai, Burmese, and many other artistic styles. It is very impressive as it is decorated with beautiful designs and gold decorations. The temple grounds are a collection of elements such as beautiful statues of lions, nymphs, and Chinese vases artistically placed throughout the area, intricate wood carvings depicting elephants and swans decorating the doors, pastel paintings on the ceiling, a stepped wall decorated with stone statues of Buddha and stupas, a Bodhi tre,e and a coral-white stupa courtyard. The museum here also houses a large collection of Buddha statues from different parts of the world, sculptures of Hindu gods, old clocks, Dutch coins, and many antique collections. This is a place you must visit.

This Seema Malaka consists of three platforms. A Bodhi branch taken from the Sri Maha Bodhi has been planted.
