Yes, it is. We will host only you and your partners.
We do not add any other customer with your fishing tour because of the present health and safety issues
What is the best time of day for fishing?
It is an early morning tour starts at 6:30 a.m., and possibility of fishing early morning over 90% and the sea is also perfect for sailing
Why do you not recommend evening fishing? Then why do you offer it?
After 12 p.m., it gets windy and hard to sail, and when the sunlight upon the ocean surface gets shiny, it is hard to spot the fishing spots.
We have given evening fishing as an option. Who wants to fishing but cannot do in the morning but evening possibility of fishing very poor
What type of night fishing do you offer?
It is anchoring fishing in the reef, and trolling fishing only does so during the daytime
Can I do night fishing?
Yes! We will provide torch and required lights
What happens if the weather is bad or windy?
If you could not do fishing because of bad weather and if you complain before you sail, then we will cancel the operation and money will be fully refunded. But once you sail, and if you complain, then we cannot refund the money because we already incurred costs for the particular operation; therefore, we cannot refund.
So please ensure you keep complaints before you sail and check the weather before you sail. It does not matter even if it is last minute if you cancel the tour and cost can be refunded.
How long is the fishing trip?
It is 3 - 4 hrs. Standard time, and you can extend the duration, pay additional payment of USD $70
Can we combine trolling fishing and anchor fishing?
Yes! We are flexible enough to customize, and we are also looking to offer a wonderful experience. We can do both options only during the daytime.
Will I get a refund if HotelExpress.lk cancels the trip?
Yes! fully refunded from our side because of the Weather or unexpected circumstance
How will I know if the trip is cancelled or if the time changes?
We will keep you posted before the operation takes place in 24 hrs. If you did not receive any message from our end, that means the scheduled operation of activity takes place as it is.
How do you do trolling fishing?
Trolling is a method of fishing where one or more fishing lines, baited with lures or bait fish, are drawn through the water. This may be behind a moving boat, or by slowly winding the line when fishing from a static position, or even sweeping the line from side to side.
Trolling fishing is a highly successful method and best session is in the morning
What is anchor fishing?
The boat is not moving and is anchored near a fishing spot such as a coral reef or rocky area. There is no specific best time, but at night there is more success
What health and safety measures are followed?
We will follow the WHO-given guidelines and we will ensure 100% safe from our side
Is the boat trip safe? Have there been any past accidents?
We will sail with our valued customers only in perfect weather and we will test all boats before the sailing. So, possibility of such an incident is very rare.
So far, we never come across such unpleasant experience 😊 but sudden engine trouble can happen and in case such issue our boatman can fix it in few minutes and in case if he could not fix, we will transfer to your alternative boat.
We will provide life jackets and our fishing guides are excellent swimmers and they have worked with fishing for over 20 years. Therefore, they can manage any kind of emergency
Do we need to release the fish after catching?
No! It is up to you, and you can cook your own fish and taste it. That’s the best way of you can celebrate the hard-working fishing with chilled beer
How many people can join one boat?
Standard fishing Boat: maximum 3 guest because maintain the boat's stability, and at a time, maximum 3 pax can fish comfortably.
