Day 1 Welcome by HotelExpress.lk representative at the Colombo Airport & proceed to first destination Negombo You will be warmly welcomed by our airport representative at the arrival terminal, and he will be introducing your dedicated chauffeur or guide for the whole tour, and we are all committed to serving you until you leave this country. As we mentioned to you, your accommodation today is located near the beautiful beach called Negombo. Before going there, you can take this opportunity to visit the following beautiful places around Negombo. While, if you have traveled a long distance and are too tired, you can go directly to your accommodation, and sightseeing will follow later. Dutch canal -: The purpose of the original waterways was to transport the export produce to seafaring ships leaving from the port of Negombo, then a busy seaport, and there is evidence that countries such as China, Burma, Rome, and Greece traded with the rulers of Lanka at that time. Agurukaramulla Temple: The Angurukaramulla Temple is a very cool place to visit if you’re in Negombo. It’s best known for its epic statue of the Buddha and its dragon entrance—inside you find detailed murals that date back centuries. Day 2 Leave from Negombo hotel & proceed to Kandy with below sightseeing After enjoying the breakfast, leaving from Negombo to Kandy, you can visit the sightseeing & attractions while on your way, as below. Negombo fish market:[ Breakfast at 07.00–09.00am] Leave from Negombo, and visiting Negombo Fish Market, the second largest fish market in Sri Lanka. Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage: Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage is a place you will really enjoy and never forget. Started in 1972, the Elephant Orphanage It was relocated to its present place in 1975. You can see milk feeding and bathing at Ma Oya [River] just in front of the orphanage. Spice & Herbal Garden: There was domestic medical treatment in Sri Lanka Before 1802 AC. The majority in Sri Lanka used to use those for any disease. The biggest attraction is the Orchid House; it has more than 300 varieties of orchids. Kandy Cultural Dance: Sri Lanka, a country rich with culture & tradition, offers a very vibrant and unique show of Sri Lankan traditional dances in the form of the Kandy cultural show. Day 3 Proceed to Colombo After enjoying the breakfast, leaving from Kandy to Colombo, you can visit the sightseeing & attractions while on your way, as below. Visit the Temple of the tooth morning ceremony: [Breakfast at 07.00–09.00am] The Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic is a Buddhist temple in the city of Kandy, Sri Lanka. It is located in the royal palace complex, which houses the Relic of the Tooth of Buddha. Kandy Market & Shopping: Move through the hustle and bustle of vendors setting up shop, followed by inquisitive locals who engage in the art of bargaining their way through at the market in Kandy, Sri Lanka. Stalls of fresh fruit, vegetables, and local spices would be hard to miss out on, while the market would be a suitable place to pick and choose from an array of handicrafts, batiks, handlooms, and jewelry. Finely crafted brassware, silverware, and woodwork are among the souvenirs made available here. Even cushion covers featuring traditional Kandyan work or colored devil masks can be purchased at an affordable rate. Kandy's viewpoint: Kandy Viewpoint is where you see the Kandy city in a panoramic view. with Lake and Sri Dalada Maligawa... very famous tourist location. restaurants and souvenir shops around. Day 4 Drop off Colombo Airport Enjoy breakfast on your last day at the Colombo hotel and visit the below number of places, depending on your flight time. Colombo National Museum - :[ Breakfast at 07.00–08.00am Colombo National Museum is the largest national museum of Sri Lanka. According to the history of the museum, the founder was Sir William Henry Gregory, the governor of Ceylon during the 1870s. The National Museum was opened to public use in 1877 (January 1st). The architectural design of the museum reflects the Italian architectural style, and it was designed by Mr. James G. Smither, government architect at that time. The museum was opened with nearly 800–1200 specimens to exhibit. With the development made in the 1940s, the museum became more popular. Gangaramaya Buddhist Temple, Colombo: The beautiful Gangarama Temple is famous for its imposing buildings and is complete with a chetiya, bo tree, image house, Simamalaka, relic chamber containing the relics of the Buddha and Arahat Seevali, museum, library, pirivena, and residential, education, and alms halls. It is decorated with stone carvings, brass work, and many other forms of Buddhist art. Pettah Market: Wander through the streets of one of Colombo’s busiest places, the Pettah market, a mix of market vendors selling anything from fresh vegetables, meats, and seafood to jewelry, clothing, and electronic goods. The numerous streets are dedicated to different trades Galle Face Green: Galle Face Green is a microcosm of activity and a place where the locals congregate as the sun goes down to take in the cool sea breeze of a sultry evening in Colombo. Lined with hawker street food stalls along the promenade, it provides the option of some of the best street food you would ever have.
