  1. Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic.

         Located in the Kandy district, the Sri Dalada Maligawa is said to have been completed in 1595 by King Wimaladharmasuriya I. The royal palace complex of the ancient Kandy Kingdom is believed to house the sacred tooth relic of the Buddha. The Dalada Maligawa is a sacred Buddhist site. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Pilgrims and tourists from all over the world come to admire the stunning architecture and intricate carvings and to worship freely. Daily rituals are performed at the palace as a way of paying homage to the tooth relic, and in August, the sacred tooth relic is solemnly carried through the streets for public worship.          The 48-meter-high Ambuluwawa Tower is located in the city of Gampala in the Kandy district of Sri Lanka. Opened in 2009, it is considered the fourth botanical garden in Sri Lanka. The Nelligala Buddhist Centre is designed in a style close to the Myanmar style. It features a Myanmar-style needle-shaped gold-plated chedi, a Bo tree placed in a large gold-colored bowl, several gold-plated statues, and a statue of Lord Sumana Saman riding a white elephant, where his horse Siri Pada is located and can be seen on clear days.
