Day 2 Dambulla–Sigiriya–Kandy
After the breakfast at the hotel, the day will begin with a visit to the Sigiriya Lion Rock fortress.
Sigiriya Lion Rock Fortress, one of the most notable features of the fortress is the frescoes that adorn the western face of the rock. These frescoes depict beautiful women in various poses and are considered to be some of the finest examples of ancient Sri Lankan art. The fortress also includes a number of gardens and water features, including a mirror wall that was once polished to a high sheen. Sigiriya Fortress is one of Sri Lanka's most popular tourist attractions, and it is recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Visitors can climb to the top of the rock to explore the fortress and enjoy the stunning views of the surrounding jungle and countryside. Then make your way to Kandy and visit to a famous Buddhist temple that holds Lord Buddha's tooth relic, which is a renowned Buddhist temple that houses Lord Buddha's tooth relic. Next visit to a Kandy cultural dance performance in the evening, where we will get to see the vivacious traditional dances and music of Sri Lanka. The Kandy cultural dance is characterised by colorful costumes, intricate footwork, rhythmic drumming, and the use of props such as fire torches, masks, and swords. It is performed in groups by both male and female dancers during cultural festivals, weddings, and special occasions, and is an important part of Sri Lankan culture, recognised as a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
